These candlesticks are 10" tall, with a tapered cup to fit the base of a standard 7/8" candle. The base is 2" in diameter and filled with lead to give it stability and reduce the risk of tipping.
My inspiration was a pair of ceramic candlesticks that have been in the family since they were given to my Grandmother as a wedding gift in about 1890. Any resemblance to those that are the signature turning of a famous woodturner is strictly accidental. I had never heard of Rude Osolnick when I turned my first pair of these in high school shop in 1952.
